Ticket: Issue with cloning children bloqs - and small issue with validation on Siimple Grids and Tables

Status Resolved
Add-on / Version Bloqs Latest
Severity
EE Version 6.2.5

The first thing I’ve noticed since being able to Clone entries in EE6.2.5 with EE Pro 1.2.0 is that my nested items are untested during the cloning process; maybe it has to work that way, but I wanted to mention it. All the ‘children’ bloqs were moved back to the parent level, which causes some validation errors on bloqs that can only be children by default.

The second issue I noticed is that the Simple Grids and Tables, when a field input is required, don’t validate once you enter data and continue to throw an error on the page, and it won’t allow you to save the entry (screenshot attached). In my screenshot, it says both columns are for the “Value” but that was just an oversight on my part labeling, they are two distinct fields in the backend (name and value in this case). So I don’t think my initial labeling issue is the problem. Both are text fields and only the first column is the required one in this specific instance.

Thanks for your help,
John

What version of Bloqs? I released a patch on Saturday.

I’m a little confused, is the 2nd issue with SG&T related to cloning or not? If it’s not related to cloning could you create a separate ticket?

Ah, I did miss the patch you released Saturday - I apologize, that appears to have corrected the children issue I noted.

I’ll repost on the separate issue and include a screenshot as requested. Thanks
