Nov 07, 2021Hi, when using the preview for a entry with bloqs, the fields of content will update. When you move the order of bloqs around, the preview does not update.
The only way to update the preview, is to close this and re-open it.

Hi there. I need a lot more info. What exactly do you mean by preview? Can you please take a video of what you’re seeing so we’re on the same page?

I’m assuming you were talking about Live Preview. When someone says preview I have to account for Publisher’s preview mode, and now EE Pro has the Front Edit feature, which might be confused with preview. I took a look at Bloqs in LP and did see the issue. The next comment will have a new build in it for you to test.

Thanks the preview updates when bloqs are moved.
There are some cases where some changes in the fields of bloqs, noting relationship fields it seems, where the preview is not triggered.
Rather than play wack-a-mole with each case, would it be helpful to have a trigger refresh preview button? Perhaps that may be more of a core EE thing. It feels to be less cumbersome than closing and reopening the preview to simple see a change.

I just did a quick test and standalone Relationship fields (a field not inside of Bloqs) also doesn’t trigger a LP update, so I’m guessing this is an issue with the core code. Any update to a field’s content should be the responsibility of the field to trigger the LP update, not Bloqs. Bloqs has no idea when content inside of a field has changed.
