I have a simple question before I start development. Have never used Bloqs or Structure.

1. Can you tell me if I can build pages with Bloqs and using Structure for the page hierachy?
2. In your examples in the documentation on your site, I see there is always a “Slab” and “Section” bloqs field at the top.  Is this to set variables for whatever follows afterwards in the child bloqs?

Thanks!

Bloqs and Structure do 2 very different things. They can be used together or separately.

The Slab and Section bloqs in the documentation are just nomenclature I tend to personally use and are just examples. You can name bloqs whatever you want. The Slab and Section bloqs, the way I use them, is to provide wrapping <divs> and variables like you mentioned to help achieve complex page layouts.

Thanks Brian for your quick reply. Yes, I do understand that Bloqs and Structure are two different addons, and have different functions. I just wanted to make sure that there are no compatibility issues. If I have complex page layouts setup with Bloqs in my templates, I want to make sure I can create those ‘entries’ from within the Structures hierarchy where a template for a page can be selected, instead of the standard groups/templates structure.

Or is there a reason I should avoid this method? Any advice?

They are 100% compatible 😊
