What version of Publisher is needed best to update to?

I don’t know bc I haven’t supported EE2 in over a year, nearly 2.

I should note, that the last/latest version of Publisher for EE2 is included in a zip file when downloading Publisher 2.9 for EE3/4. It is included with the 2.9 download only for the sake of upgrading from EE2 to EE3. You’re welcome to keep using that version in EE2, but its unsupported. That is now the only way to get the latest version.
