Hi Support,

Description:  I can’t find the language panel dropdown in channel edit/create page. It was together with the publish/draft row in EE4.2.1 but is missing in 4.3.1.  I’ve provided a test folder with only EE and Publisher installed (new installation).

Video on problem encountered.

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue:
1. Create a new language in publisher language section
2. Go to Channel New/Edit entry
3. Edit/Create entry is missing top language dropdown selection.

Did you delete the Languages phrase group? Its not showing any languages in the drop down b/c there is no Languages phrase group.

Hi,

I didn’t do anything to the language phrase group. The dropdown just disappears after I update EE from 4.2.1 to 4.3.1.

Did you check your JS console for any errors? If a JS error occurs in another add-on it can clobber all the JS after that, which the Publisher toolbar depends on.

I don’t know how this happened, but your Languages phrase group is missing the site id. It should be 1.

Check JS console, there aren’t any errors. Updated the mysql row and the language phrase group is back up. However the dropdown isn’t showing on create/edit page.

Have you tried doing a fresh install?

It appears as if something got messed up somehow, and instead of going down that rabbit hole a fresh install may fix it.

Can you provide FTP access to this environment? If so please check the permissions and if the user is able to save files in the addons folder. Something in the toolbar view file isn’t rendering and I’m not sure why. I need to be able to see what several variable values are to determine what the issue is.

Hi,

I got the ftp account. How do I edit this ticket to pass over the login credentials?

Send the FTP credentials over. The test server is a fresh EE installation with Bloqs and Publisher as the only add-ons installed.

Should be fixed now. You’ll want to grab the version of the Service/Toolbar.php file to get the change, which will be included in the next Publisher release.
