Hi,

I was wondering if you could let me know how we can make the “send for approval” check box for editors ALWAYS checked. Because what our client wants is for them not to have to check the box, for it to be checked automatically as otherwise people are failing to check it by accident.

Thanks for the feedback. I’m on the fence about wether or not to add an option for this as it is the first time anyone has requested such a thing. Generally you want to force the user to click send for approval b/c you want them to take the extra step to confirm that it is ready for approval after being edited.

Thanks very much, Exactly this website is for barristers and they can edit their CVs but they HAVE TO send it to admin team for approval before publishing it. So we need to make sure the SEND FOR APPROVAL button is always checked.

I won’t be adding this as an option in the near future, sorry. Publisher is fairly stable and won’t be getting new features until I’m done with new features for Bloqs.

Resolving this ticket as providing an option or setting Send for Approval checked by default kind of defeats the purpose of having approvals. The point of the checkbox is to require that extra step so the author can’t accidentally send something for approval before its ready. If this sort of functionality is required I’d suggest making a custom extension for your project and us the hooks provided by Publisher to check the box by default for your project. I don’t want to add more options or user/group based permissions around this checkbox.
