Description:

When I save a draft entry and hit SAVE & PREVIEW some channels show the preview iframe but others don’t. Channels are all set up the same way in Publisher settings.

Caching/gzip is off
publisher_status param in place
no cache/publisher/log.txt file to look at

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue:
1. Change entry setting to View > Draft
2. Make text changes
3. Hit SAVE & PREVIEW

Can you please provide more info such as what your Approvals and Template Previews settings are set to (screenshot). Are you using Pages/Structure?

Also you provided a login, but didn’t include what channel I should create something in to test it.

Just a heads up, its easier to define the template previews by using the options provided. You’re hard-coding the override when the current options would suffice.

BTW, the FTP login you provided doesn’t give me access to anything. I can’t navigate the server and the directory it takes me to just has .ftpquota file in it.

Rob, I just edited the “University College Hospital” entry and it showed the preview fine. I’m wondering if this is an issue with the caching in the exp_publisher_previews tables. Someone else was having a similar issue and deleting the rows in that table resolved it. In this case the cache time may have expired and it resolved itself. This is the other issue: https://boldminded.com/support/ticket/1494

I’ll look at some things to see if I can prevent this from happening.

Sorry its the exp_publisher_draft_previews table.

For the next release when you clear EE’s cache it’ll also clear the previews in that table.
