May 10, 2017After installing Publisher Lite 2 on a fresh install of EE we get the following error:
“Argument 1 passed to BoldMinded/Publisher/Service/Session::setCurrentLanguage() must be an instance of BoldMinded/Publisher/Model/Language, null given, called in base_path/cmsadmin/user/addons/publisher/Service/Session.php on line 604 and defined
base_path/cmsadmin/user/addons/publisher/Service/Session.php, line 418 show details
Severity: E_RECOVERABLE_ERROR
Fatal error: Call to a member function getId() on null in base_path/cmsadmin/user/addons/publisher/Service/Session.php on line 420”
Clearing session cookies resolves this, but this isn’t the first time that this has happened and obviously isn’t ideal to have to clear session cookies every time we install the plugin on a new site. Is this something that can be resolved?

You said this is a clean install, but that error only happens if you’re installing it on a site that has had Publisher installed on before. The browser has cookies left over from the previous install, and/or so does the server.
I believe I have a fix for this in the 2.5 release coming out soon.
