Description:
I recently upgraded my core install to EE3 and am noticing session error messages:
Warning
session_start(): open(/tmp/sess_sog4t79dv29s1kk42cno6q00f6, O_RDWR) failed: Permission denied (13)
user/addons/system_messages/ext.system_messages.php, line 128
I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the module but still it crops up.
Detailed steps to reproduce the issue:
1. Login at http://ee3.tunnel7.com/admin.php
2. See errors at top of page

I’m about 99.9% certain that error is because the /tmp/ directory isn’t writable.

OK. Let me work with the host on it.

You are 100% correct. One of the many joys of having a good host bought out by a crappy host is these little crappy things keep coming up. (And I haven’t had time to migrate away yet.) THanks for your help.

No problem, glad its sorted out.
