The settings for Publisher have been reset to default when saving. This happens when the site, and thus also the backend, works on multiple domains. Saving the settings only works when you login into the cp_url stored in the config file.
There are two solutions:
1. Only use the backend from the url stored in the config file.
2. Change the module settings page form action url from cp_url to /admin.php
So, this is just a suggestion/tip.
